Upper Dharamshala is home to Mcleodganj along with other structures from the city's colonial era. The city is divided into two parts and each has something unique to offer. Dharamsala is the residence of the Dalai Lama, the Buddhist guru who controls his administration from there in exile. This small village is located in the foothills of the Dhauladhar ranges, allowing visitors to enjoy the rich and royal Tibetan culture.
Dharamshala is geographically gifted with a lovely summer climate. Dharamshala is hence best visited between the end of March and the end of June. Mornings and afternoons are ideal for exploration and sunbathing. As the sun sets, the air becomes slightly cool.

By Train: Pathankot is the closest railway station. From Pathankot railway station, you can reach Dharamshala city center by the hired Taxi.
